Government payments to be made through electricity companies

The UK Government have confirmed that the £100 payment to support heating oil users with increased costs will be paid through their electricity company.

Due to the competitive nature of the heating oil market, and customers holding multiple accounts, this is the fastest way to distribute funds without duplication.

There is still no decision from the Government as to when the payments will be made, but we will keep you updated as we get further information. Customers who do not have an electricity supplier will also be notified of how the payment will be made to them.
