We’ve always got our eye on the next innovations in the energy transition.
We’re very aware of the important role we have to play in reducing carbon emissions, and it’s for this reason that we’ve always got our eye on the next innovations in the energy transition.
We already supply renewable alternatives to diesel called HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) and renewable diesel as fuel for the transport, commercial, construction and marine industries. They are a drop-in replacement for white and red diesel powered equipment, and are made from sustainable vegetable oils or food waste fats. They're proven to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90%.
We’re also involved in trials around the suitability of renewable diesel as a home heating oil, which could have a hugely positive environmental impact if successful.
What’s next for us when it comes to fighting the climate crisis? We’re looking at installing EV charging stations on our forecourts and other locations, which will help accelerate the widespread adoption of cleaner electric vehicles.
We’re also exploring other future fuelling options, such as hydrogen, green electricity and renewable liquid fuels.
All this can be summarised by saying that we’re future focused: it’s our mission to be front of the pack when it comes to developing new technologies. Our team has a proven track record of going the extra mile to help our customers achieve their environmental goals where other fuel suppliers couldn’t.
